One in four individuals have either been abused or are presently being abused in your small group or congregation. Staggering statistic isn't it? These individuals are in need of your help and spiritual guidance.You are bound to look into their eyes and see someone desparately in need of escape or help in recovering fro m its destructive effects.
Today is a call for courage. We need spiritual leaders who have the courage and the knowledge to address the shameful sin of abuse and offer its victims refuge, safety, healing, and the love of God. Will you be courageous enough to make a stand with Eagles Wings against abuse in families;
We encourage you to call our office and speak to our Executive Director, Judi Noble. We will provide training and education for you and your leaders as well as training on how to start Christ-centered support groups (LDNH). Our goal is to help bring healing and restoration to individuals and families.
Pastoral Training: A 4-8 Hr training designed to equip you and your staff
Lay Counselor Training: A 2.5 hr training designed to equip lay leaders
The training will inform you on the dynamics of domestic violence, how to counsel both the abused and abuser, and how to connect to a various network of community services able to provide further support to the family.
